OKLAHOMA PASSES BILL TO PROTECT CLERGYS FROM PERFOMING SAME-SEX WEDDINGS

A religious free bill has been passed in the Oklahoma House and Senate that protects the rights of Clergys.

The legislation says Pastors, religious leaders and others who perform the sacred act of weddings cannot be forced to carry out same-sex ceremonies if it violates their religious beliefs.

The bill also Shields churches from beings required to participate in any same-sex weddings.

All opposing votes came from Democrats. Oklahoma House voted 87-8 for the bill while an identical bill passed the state Senate on a 38-5 vote.
